There are three different methods that we use to talk to the ladies, but before we get into the details, here’s something to keep in mind:

Get in the right mindset for chatting with girls

Going up to women and talking to them is mostly in your head. It’s all about your mindset. If you tend to be negative and think “There’s no way she’s going to speak to me, she’s way too hot for me”, then you’re losing the battle before you even start.

As cheesy as it sounds, thinking positive thoughts when you go out is key to getting you in the right mindset for having success with women. So, focus on positive outcomes. Think to yourself: “Hey, I’m gonna go out and chat up a few women. Maybe they’ll be interested in me, maybe they won’t be. At least I get the chance to say a few words to them and get acknowledged.”

Keeping positive thoughts will do a lot to cope with the anxiety and nervousness that come with talking to women you don’t know. However, a little bit of anxiety is perfectly okay. When you talk to a girl for the first time, both you and her get an instant emotional rush – it’s exciting for both of you! Excitement is great because it gets both of your hearts pumping a little bit faster and creates some instant emotional contact between the two of you. So stay positive when you go out and don’t worry too much about killing off all of your nervousness and anxiety.

The Warm Up Before Approaching Women

So now that you’ve got a positive mindset, it’s time to get out and warm yourself up. An athlete doesn’t run out on the field and expect to play a perfect game, does he? Neither should you! When you go out to pull chicks, you need to spend a few minutes warming up your social skills and attitude on the way to the bar, club or where ever. I actually recommend using these warm up tricks whenever you go out: you never know when you’ll run into a gorgeous gal, so get in the habit of preparing yourself for the pull.

To warm up, you walk around and try to make eye contact with some cute girls. You can smile or wink at them if you want or just make some small talk with a store clerk or coffee girl. They don’t need to be the hottest girls or even women that you’re interested in. The point is just to start with the basics and get yourself in the zone.

It sounds simple, but if you do this for a solid 15 – 20 minutes, then you’ll start feeling more confident and be ready to approach the women that you really want. So do it and make it a habit every time you go out in public.

3 Ways to Approach and Talk to Women

Line 1 – The Busy Guy Line

One of my favorite lines to use on a girl is one that sets you up for just a quick conversation and gets straight to the point. It has worked many times for me and if you’re just starting, then it’s a good way to practice because you don’t have to think too hard and it won’t take you more than 1 minute.

First, find a girl who isn’t too busy. She can be hanging around waiting for the bus, window-shopping or checking something on her phone. The key is to find a girl that looks bored with herself: she’s got nothing to do and probably won’t mind it too much if you came up and talked to her.

Next, go up to her and try this line: “Hey, you’re so cute and I had to come over here and say Hi. But listen, I’m really in a hurry and would love it if we could meet again. What’s your number, maybe we can get a coffee later?”

This method has a few good things going for it: first, you give the chick a complement and tell her that she’s cute. Girls like will eat that up. Second, you let her know that you’re in a rush, but want to get to know her. Third, you cut right to it and ask for her number.

What will happen is she’ll be really surprised and flattered by your complement and if you look neat and clean then she’ll probably give you her number. If you want, you can change up the line and ask her for an email instead, but I like to go for the phone number. It’s a quick and painless line that will give you a rush the first few times you try it if you’re not used to approaching random women on the street. So give it a try and then call her in a day or two and set up a date.

Line 2 – The Eye Contact Approach

The next approach is a combination body language and line. It works like this: when you’re out and about, you make eye contact with women around you. Find the one chick that holds her gaze and doesn’t just glance at you and look away.

Next, go up to her and try this: “Hey, I saw you from over there and you seemed interesting, so I wanted to come meet you.” From here, there’s lots of ways you can go: you can straight up ask her name, where’s she’s from, what she’s doing, blablabla. Or, you can go with a playful approach and ask her why she was looking at you like that. She’ll probably react with a surprised “What?!” and from there you can take things where ever you want.

With this second approach, you can also use part of the first line. If you’re having trouble directing the conversation, then just drop in the “hey, you’re cute and I liked talking to you, but I’ve gotta run. Maybe we can finish this some other time? What’s your number?” Try to close the deal and get her digits so you can set things up for later. Sometimes, you’ll try and approach and it’ll be an ideal situation to take her on a quick coffee-date then and there. If you can’t set something up immediately, get her number and move on.

Line 3 – The Surprise Flirt

The third line I like to use can work with outgoing, spunky-kinda chicks, but other girls will just get weirded out by it. However, it’s a fun way to get things rolling and can help you learn how to create and steer a conversation if you’re new to this stuff.

So what you do is find a cute girl, go straight up to her and say “Hey, you look friendly/cool/interesting. Are you?” Chicks usually laugh it off and say “yes, of course I am!”, which you can then use to lead into basic stuff like “what’s your name”, “where are you from”, “what kinds of foods do you like” and so on. It’s a solid approach that works because it gets both of you instantly excited and emotional. You can then use this excitement to create more tension between the two of you or you can drop in line 1, pretend you’re busy, get her number and move on.

I really like this approach because it lets you quickly judge her personality by her reaction to your question. I like the girls who laugh it off or come up with a witty answer. You can have lots of fun with this one, so get out and try it!

What’s Next? Advanced Situational Lines for Approaching Girls

These three pickup lines form the basis for lots of my ways to approach women. As great as they are (and they really do work), they can sometimes get boring if they’re the only three arrows in your quiver. However, they are absolutely the greatest place to start if you’re new to the game.
